What can I do to make my signs vandal-proof?

It's impossible to make them vandal-proof, but you can make them vandal-resistant by use of the correct materials and construction.

I'm building in a historic district. What type of sign can I use?

Historic districts generally require historic signs. Contact the local Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) or building department for the area. They will give you all the specifications.  We will handle this for you if we are involved in the designing.

Truck trailers flex quite a lot while on the road. What material can I use to identify our trailers and what do I need to consider about applying the material?

There are many systems that will work on trailers. The ideal system is one that does not create a lot of maintenance. Aluminum signs can be used, but they require a fastening system that requires maintenance. The best system is pressure-sensitive vinyl, but it too can require maintenance and repair unless good materials are used and installed correctly.

What's the best color for my sign on our glass windows?

From any distance, glass will look dark and requires a light color for graphics. If it is smoked glass, you must put the graphics on the outside. Color will not come through smoked glass.

How can I get our local Zoning Board of Appeals to grant a variance for our new signage?

Present them with all the facts, Show them why it could be safer. Remember, they don't want to set a precedent that the next person will want to use for even more of a variance than you want.
